"The reason why men beat women is because it feels good and they can."
Lydia Walker, Family Violence Specialist

1. It is a established myth that violence is brought on by stress, or cause by
a man watching a violent sport. This myth makes domestic violence understandable and acceptable to the logical mind, otherwise society is face with the fact some men enjoy abusing women. Batterering is a matter of choose.
2. If domestic violence was brought by stress then why do men pick and choose their victims and why is the violence always conducted out of the
Sight of witnesses except young children who aren't considered credible witnesses by the courts.
3. If domestic violence is brought on by stress then why is the methology
used by all batterers the same. All batterers use threats and violence to control or the sympathy approach.
4. Is the concept that stress causes domestic violence a safe call because
otherwise people will will have to accept the fact that there are some men
outside of the defined sexual predators who enjoy beating women.
5. If being sexually assaulted as a child makes a person rape women and
children then most rapist would be females.
6. Society has given men permission to beat the women and children the
men believe they own.
7. Arrest is the number one deterrent to violence.
8. Domestic violence is not connected to the weather, hunting season or
Christmas. Men beat women because they want to.
9. A common trait of batterers is showing a new interest in their children when
They have a new girlfriend the man wants to impress.
10. Many judges do not feel it is not their judiciary role to prevent family
violence.
11. Domestic violence will only be solved when society changes the way
It thinks.
